Justin Howard’s great-great grandfather staked his claim on a quarter section of land ten miles north of Woodward, Okla., in 1904. The fifth generation rancher began riding broncs in 1986 after attending the Sankey Rodeo School in Abbyville, Kan. He purchased his Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association permit in 1988 and pursued his career as a professional bronc rider. Nearly two decades later, he made his final ride where it all began. Today, Howard’s main focus is managing and expanding the family ranch.
