Presented by Sam Wampler’s Freedom Ford, this two-day event will draw hundreds of contestants and is sure to be an exciting show for the whole family. Eagle Watch @ Lake Thunderbird State Park

Want to see migrating eagles in their natural habitat? Come to Lake Thunderbird State Park for an eagle watch event you won’t forget. Meet at the Discovery Cove Nature Center for an information session at 12:45pm, then tour several sites throughout the park to catch a glimpse of magnificent eagles in their winter home. Be sure to bring your binoculars and dress appropriately. Each eagle watch is limited to 30 people, so reservations are required. Come to the Frederick Fantastic Oyster Fry & Craft Show to enjoy fried or raw oysters and peruse a wide variety of items on display from crafters. First celebrated in 1952, this event is an annual southwest Oklahoma tradition. Feast on delicious oysters on the half shell or try them fried in the festival’s secret recipe batter. This much-anticipated meal includes homemade coleslaw, potato chips, bread, iced tea and coffee.
