CANTON LAKE WALLEYE RODEO @ Canton Lake

Come and enjoy the 51st annual Canton Lake Walleye Rodeo, Oklahoma’s oldest and largest fishing tournament. Prizes will be awarded for the five largest walleye, total poundage of walleye for all four days and the largest fish caught in each of 10 different species. Other fish species in the competition include striped bass, drum, buffalo, carp, sunfish, flathead, white bass, channel cat, crappie, black bass and hybrid. There are also specially tagged fish that are worth $20 to $500 if caught. Fish must be registered at the official weigh station to be eligible for prizes, and all state game and fishing laws must be observed during the rodeo.

Come to Duncan and witness as stately Peruvian steeds are put through their paces at the Peruvian Horse Show. This NAPHA, or North American Peruvian Horse Association, sanctioned event spotlights the Peruvian horse’s beauty, unusual gait and smooth ride. Competitions for the event include combination pole and egg stomp, champagne and costume class, musical performance pairs and a parade of stallions, all showcasing the unique nature of this breed. WILL ROGERS STAMPEDE PRCA RODEO @ Will Rogers Stampede Arena

Make your way to Claremore for all the excitement of the annual Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo.  Rodeo events include bull riding, barrel racing, team roping, muttin bustin’ for the kids, rodeo clowns and a dance following the nightly performance.  See area cowboys compete in steer wrestling, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding and more.  Vendors will be on-site to sell Western wear and goods to the crowds.  Pick up a cowboy hat and secure a spot in the stands for the Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo, an action-packed event you won’t want to miss.  Rodeo queens will also be on hand to lead the opening ceremonies.

Honoring the heritage of Durant, also known as the “Magnolia Capital of Oklahoma,” the Magnolia Festival of Oklahoma will feature games and festivities perfect for a fun-filled family weekend.
