Bub & Nancy Tate Arena. Apache, OK. The Apache Stampede Rodeo is a PRCA sanctioned rodeo held in the Bub and Nancy Tate Arena. Slack and steer roping are held on Friday night Sept. 27 starting at 6 pm. Rodeo performances are at 2 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Events include bareback bronc riding, barrels, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, steer roping, steer wrestling, team roping, and tie down roping. Nationally ranked professional cowboys and cowgirls compete at the Apache Stampede to earn their way to the NFR. Kids entertainment includes a calf scramble for money, mutton busting and clown Gizmo McCracken, voted the 2017 PRCA Comedy Act of the Year. In addition, the rodeo concession is famous not for your expected concession food, but for serving Indian Tacos (Friday night only), homemade fried pies, loaded baked potatoes, and BBQ to name a few.
